At Camp Whitby Wildcats, summer is more than just a camp—it’s a thrilling adventure where creativity, curiosity, and fun come together every day! With our trained staff and expert instructors, including many familiar faces from Whitby’s after-school programs, we’ve designed each week to be a new journey filled with engaging, age-appropriate activities that keep campers excited and inspired.
We go beyond the ordinary to spark joy and wonder. From STEM challenges and arts and crafts to sports, music, and dance, our diverse range of activities ensures that there’s something for every interest. Plus, surprise activities, themed dress-up days, and incredible live shows by professional entertainers make each week extra special.
Our beautiful 32-acre campus is the ultimate summer playground, featuring two amazing playgrounds, expansive playing fields, tennis courts, and an Audubon-certified Schoolyard Habitat. Campers can dig into nature in our community garden classroom or challenge themselves indoors in the Athletic Center, which boasts a climbing wall. There’s also plenty of room for creativity in our Performing Arts Center, art studio, yoga room, and Makerspace.

Charles Giegerich, Director Camp Whitby: Wildcats
Meet Charles Giegerich, Director of Camp Whitby Wildcats, bringing his passion for camp leadership for an impressive 27 years. With a diverse background in camp management, Charles has held key roles, including Camp Director at The Field Club of Greenwich (2010-2015), year-round Assistant Director at Camp Jacobson in Long Island (2016-2019), and Camp Director at Steve & Kate camp in Manhattan, as well as Director of two Oasis summer camps (2019-2022).
Charles's journey in education extends beyond the campgrounds, having served as a Physical Education teacher for students ranging from Pre-K through high school. He held the position of Physical Education Coordinator at Winston Prep (2008-2013), focusing on students with learning challenges.
Currently, during the school year, Charles is the WECCP/ASP Director at the Whitby School. A devoted father to a 15-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter, Charles holds a Master of Science in School Administration. His commitment to camp is unwavering, and he always strives to create an environment of outstanding programming, a dedicated staff, and, above all, an unforgettable experience for the children.
